- for my presentation on monday, i will create a simple slideshow detailing some of the legal actions presented against video game developers and what their intentions were when the politicans created the legislature.
2. Describe what you hope to learn with this assignment. Be specific.
- i'm planning on finding out the other stance on the video games vs. politics issue. i already know of the side of the gamer, since i am one, but i'd like to know why the politicians think it is necessary to "protect" children from "inappropriate" video games and to find out if they truly had good intentions or if they were just looking to boost their popularity in the house.
- i plan on using the internet heavily, as it provides a lot of information from a lot of different sources and viewpoints. i also plan on watching a documentary or two on the incident at columbine, as it was the first major documented case of supposed video game induced violence. i'm also going to do a survey and a few experiments to see how people react to violence and profanity in games.
